Use Cortex in a browser

Open the Cortex side panel, sign in, and start or resume a session. Ask a question about the active page, attach supported context, or continue an objective from another Cortex client.

Choose Fast, Balanced or Deep response mode where available. Fast prioritizes latency, Balanced is the default, and Deep can use more reasoning and extended context. Select MCP services only when the task needs them.

Keep the request bounded: name the page, the information you need and the next desired outcome. Review cited source details and refresh context after navigation.

Login screens, CAPTCHAs, protected browser pages and organization-blocked sites can limit assistance. Browser actions remain bounded by extension permissions, connected identities and approval policy. Move code implementation or repository validation to an IDE, CLI or eligible Cortex Cloud workflow.
